At YMCA Bellshill & Mossend, we are always looking for ways to improve our services, support our community, and make a lasting impact. This commitment goes beyond the work we do with children, young people, and families—it also extends to how we care for our building and the environment.
Thanks to the generous support of SP Energy Networks’ Transmission Net Zero Fund and the North Lanarkshire Town Centre Fund, we are making significant upgrades to our building that will improve its efficiency, reduce energy costs, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
What’s Changing?
Over the coming months, we will be installing:
Air Source Heat Pumps – Providing a more efficient and sustainable way to heat our building, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
New Windows and Lighting – Upgraded, energy-efficient windows and LED lighting will improve insulation and reduce electricity use.
Improved Insulation – Keeping our spaces warmer in winter and cooler in summer, lowering energy bills and making the building more comfortable for everyone.
100% Green Energy Solutions – Ensuring that our energy use aligns with our commitment to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint.
